Restore rebuilds from the snapshot

Restoring a course version rebuilds its lessons from the stored snapshot rather than patching the live course. That is right, and it has a sharp edge: any field the snapshot omits is erased on restore. When written lesson bodies were added, carrying them through publish, restore and diff was the work; the column was the easy part.

Publishing snapshots a version. Restoring rebuilds from it — so the diff is what you are agreeing to. The layout is the product’s. The rows are illustrative examples — we do not publish another institute’s data, and we do not invent numbers.
